The following students have been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the spring 2018 semester.

On May 9, more than 300 Wesleyan students received University prizes and awards during a reception. Wesleyan's awards, prizes, and scholarships program connects recipients to the legacies of alumni, administrators, faculty, and friends of the university whose lives and work are honored through endowed gifts. Recipients of the academic scholarships, fellowships, and prizes represent the highest ideals of Wesleyan--intellectual curiosity, academic excellence, creative expressoin, leadership, and service.

On May 27, 77 members of the Class of 2017 were inducted into Wesleyan's Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa Society, the oldest national scholastic honor society.

During the Edgar Beckham Social Justice Awards ceremony on March 23, seven students were honored for their dedication to social justice. The Edgar Beckham Social Justice Awards honor the late Dean Edgar Beckham, whose dedication to social justice continues to positively impact the Wesleyan community. The student-led planning committee aims to celebrate the students, faculty, staff and Middletown community members whose efforts align with the ideals that guided his work.

A group of RIT students will take on teams from the country's top cybersecurity colleges in the 2017 National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, held April 13-15 in San Antonio.

Five students from the Class of 2020 were honored for their First-Year Seminar essays in March. With support from the Endeavor Foundation of New York, the students received cash awards ranging from $250 to $75 and a book, selected by their course instructor.
